Back on the Bandwagon

OK, so I'm trying this again - I started this blog a long, long time ago and never did anything with it. Can't imagine why, with working full-time, having two little ones, trying to keep up with the house, the list goes on and on. But, I'm gonna give it another go.

School has started once again and my class is pretty good so far. This is the first year that my school didn't allow parent requests, so the make-up of the class was crafted by the administration, not what the parents hear on the ball field. It used to be a nightmare, parents would come in and change their requests four and five times, never really knowing any of the teachers. And, the truth is, a good teacher for one kid might not be a good teacher for another. For instance, my friend had a kiddo in her class that was very sensitive and prone to tears for no good reason. He would get upset when OTHER kids were fussed at! This would not be a good kid for my room. But I digress.

The kids all seem to get along, but they are a bit young. Better than the kids who were too grown I had a few years ago. Apparently, they fast-forwarded to sixth grade behavior for some reason. You know the girly crap of if you're friends with her, you can't be friends with me and such. I think I got about 20 of my gray hairs from them. So, I'm looking forward to a better year this year.

On the home-front, we're going to work on tackling the laundry and getting stuff up on eBay tomorrow. I'm not really sure how two little people with little clothes make so much laundry! I feel like every time I get caught up, the hamper is overflowing again. Maybe the clothes are multiplying in there at night - I've thought I've heard strange noises coming from my closet!

Well, time to go wage the battle of the wash. Wish me luck!

Thank you for stopping for my giveaway.

I hope that this is a good year for you. It's not easy being a teacher. I use to work at a school as a secretary. I always admired the work of the teachers.
